COVID-19 Update 16th March
Cornish Cottages Ltd is committed to providing you with a high level of customer service at all times. We would like to reassure our property owners and our guests that it is very much ‘business as usual’ during this COVID-19 pandemic.
Business Continuity
The offices will remain open as usual and we have given our employees the option of working from home if they so wish. Our normal email addresses, telephone numbers and opening hours will continue to apply.
Government Guidelines
We will adopt and adhere to any government guidelines as regards travelling, particularly for more vulnerable groups. Should the government advise that travel should be limited for certain groups then we will offer them a postponement to a more suitable time. However, if they insist on cancelling then we must allow them to do so. In this case any monies paid across to you will have to be withdrawn. For those owners who have opted in to the ‘Owners Cancellation Plan’ there will be no pay out under these circumstances as COVID-19 has been declared a pandemic. Presently there are no restrictions and our normal Terms & Conditions still apply.
Any travel restrictions will most likely only apply to the most vulnerable. Don’t forget that there are plenty of people who will not be restricted who will still want to come on holiday, and thousands of families who won’t be able to go abroad and will be looking for alternative options.
Housekeeper Arrangements
For those of you who employ cleaners and caretakers, please can you liaise with them and ensure that they are happy to continue in the event of any restriction which may affect them? It would be wise to have a Plan ‘B’, just in case.
The Season Ahead
According to predictions, if everything goes to plan then by June we will be over the worst and can still enjoy a good summer season. We will continue advertising and promoting your properties as normal and will be here to answer any questions you may have.
