Praa Sands, West Coast

Praa Sands boasts one of the finest beaches in Cornwall. During the Summer, its long expanse of golden sand appeals to surfers, sunbathers, strollers and sandcastle builders alike.  In Autumn and Winter it is a great place to enjoy a bracing walk and watch the waves. Overlooking the beach is The Sandbar beach bar and restaurant which enjoys panoramic ocean views and offers a choice of light snacks or more stylish dining.

Dogs are welcome on the beach most of the year except for the height of the summer holidays, where a ban is in place throughout July and August.

Just a short drive away is Mounts Bay, recently designated One of The Most Beautiful Bays in The World. Here the picturesque village of Marazion sits beside its own sheltered beach, and you can view or visit historic St. Michael's Mount with its quaint harbour, house and sub-tropical garden.
