Higher Prospidnick Cottage

This sweet countryside cottage is a detached Grade II Listed thatch, which has a lovely private garden and is set on the outskirts of Nancegollan, a little community just off the Helston to Camborne road. The location means easy access to the beaches and lively resorts of the North Coast, as well as the fishing coves and meandering footpaths of the Lizard Peninsula which are all a short drive away. Nearby is the historic market town of Helston with a range of shops and supermarkets and also the harbour town Porthleven, where the pubs and restaurants line the sea-front harbour.

The cottage is surrounded by gardens, plants and fields, with just one other neighbouring cottage over the driveway. Inside is brimming with traditional features, this does mean there are some low ceilings and doorways and the staircase is slightly steeper than normal.

From the large private gravel parking area, enter into the groundfloor hallway, which leads through to the kitchen, also off the hall is the shower room with shower, toilet and handbasin. The kitchen is a cottage style galley arrangement with additional utility area, there's a range of appliances including electric cooker, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher, washing machine, kettle and toaster.

A small granite step leads into the spacious dining room which feels like the heart of the cottage, a great space for meals, games or drinks. Another small step down into the living room, where an exposed stone wall features a wood-burner and four comfy seats set around the TV with DVD player.

Upstairs are the two bedrooms. A master room with king-size bed, chest of drawers, built-in cupboard, bedside tables with lamps and views over the fields. The twin room has two full-size single beds and a chest of drawers between them with bedside lamps, as well as a double wardrobe and a view of the field.

Outside, there's a patio with table and chairs for sitting out in the evening sun, and a long lawn garden which is shaded by trees with picnic table tucked away at the end - a perfect spot for peaceful evenings in the country air. One ell behaved dog is welcome by prior arrangement at £30 per week.
