The Old Boathouse

The Old Boathouse is a beach-side studio that's less than two minutes walk from the mile long stretch of white gold sand at Praa Sands beach. Situated in the front-row of properties that look across the grassy ridge above the beach and with the sea beyond, you can admire the sea from the front patio, or from within the kitchen diner - enjoy your meals by the sea!

Praa Sands (locally pronounced as both pray or prah) is a village built around it's beach, the popular Sandbar beach cafe offers up a range of food and drink with "the beach at your feet", or just a short walk from The Old Boathouse is 'The Post Office' cafe serving light bites and pizzas, with the Sandy Stores convenience shop next door. The South West Coast Path passes through and there's a further choice of beaches and coves that can be explored on foot. In one direction is Prussia Cove and Perranuthnoe, home to the Victoria Inn which serves excellent food, or in the opposite direction is Rinsey and Porthleven with its range of well-known eateries.

From the parking space, you pass down the side of the studio where you'll be able to see just how close the sea is, and then from the front patio enter into the kitchen diner (one step/raised threshold). The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, grill and 4-ring hob with extractor over, an under-counter fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, kettle, toaster and a washing machine. For dining there's a table with two chairs and a stall which look out to the sea or out on the patio there's another table with three chairs.

The living area has a two-seat sofa, easy chair and a smart TV. A bookshelf divides the back portion of the room off where there's a single bed, ideal for a child or if two adults prefer separate beds instead. In the separate bedroom there's a double bed, bedside table with lamp and a single wardrobe with hanging space and drawers. The shower room is off the living area and has a toilet, handbasin and shower enclosure with electric shower.

Outside is a small patio area with table and chairs, on sunny days this area will catch the sun for most of the day, there's a planted border and a fence offering privacy from the owner's residence. The walkway to and from the parking area also gives privacy to you as you come and go. The beach is accessed from just off the driveway, there's a footpath that leads straight to some steps leading down to the sand.

Rental includes bedlinen, towels, WiFi and utilities. Parking for one vehicle only. Regret no pets please.
