Porthoustock, Lizard Peninsula
A hamlet near St Keverne on the east coast of the Lizard Peninsula.
The local beach consists of coarse shingle mostly due to the adjacent stone quarry. Many people use this beach to launch their diving boats, as this beach is in close proximity to the Manacles where many ships came to ground due to the cluster of rocks which are hidden at high tide.
The coastal footpath passes through Porthoustock, and nearby attractions include Flambards, The National Seal Sanctuary, Roskilly's and The Chocolate Factory and Craft Centre at Mullion.
