The town provides all the amenities you require, with plenty of eateries and footpaths to walk it off. Overlooking the town is an old Mine Stake based at the top of Kite Hill, which provides a refreshing walk with fantasic views from the top overlooking Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor and the town.
As a tradition in Callington, a Honey Fair is an attraction not to be missed on the first Wednesday of October every year with a fun fair, stalls and of course honey. While you are in Callington, look out for the Murals on numerous buildings which have been painted by school children, artists, and others with an artisitic eye.
Nearby Cotehele House, perched high above the River Tamar, is decorated with tapestries, arms and armour, pewter, brass and old oak furniture. Outside, you can explore the formally planted terraces and Valley Garden, which includes a medieval stewpond and dovecote and leads down to the river.
