Carnkie, West Coast
A rural village between the towns Redruth & Camborne.
It sits on the southern side of the Carn Brea hill in the heart of the former tin and copper mining district. From the village, you can walk the circular Great Flat Lode Trail through farmland, heathland and past relics of the mining past. While from the summit of Carn Brea there are panoramic views to the North coast.
The sandy beaches at Portreath, Gwithian and Hayle are all approximately twenty minutes drive away on the North coast, where there are also miles of cliff top walks to enjoy.
