Swanpool beach is a popular cove and is sheltered and is reasonably safe for swimming. Rowing boats can be hired in the lagoon and there is a path on the cove leading to the larger Gyllingvase beach. This beach provides car parking, cafe, beach shop, crazy golf and a hire shop for water sport equipment. The nearest town to Swanpool Beach is Falmouth.
