Widemouth Bay
Bude
Widemouth Bay has a large sandy beach with good surfing. Parking and facilities are close to the beach and access to Widemouth beach is level.
A popular family and surfing beach, Widemouth Bay was recommended by the Marine Conservation Society in 2010 for its water quality. The north and south beaches form one huge beach at low tide and both have car parks, cafes and toilet facilities. This beach offers fantastic conditions for learning to surf or body boarding and many local surf schools are based in Widemouth or in the nearby coastal town of Bude. (10 minutes journey by car)
Lifeguard cover is provided over the Easter weekend and from 1st May until 30th September. Dogs are banned on Widemouth Bay Beach from Easter Day to 1st October (except guide dogs)
