Watergate Bay
Newquay
Newquay’s biggest and most spectacular beach is three miles out of town on the coast road towards Padstow. At low tide the beach at Watergate Bay becomes a vast expanse of unbroken golden sand which is backed by high cliffs. Watergate can be considered the first of a succession of fabulous beaches leading to and through Newquay. Being a two mile beach you can still find a quiet piece of sand for yourself.
